Magnesium in Animal Nutrition

Magnesium is critically important in animal nutrition for the health of the nervous system, bone development, and increasing milk production. The source of magnesium used in supplements necessary for maintaining animal health is calcined magnesia (CCM-Caustic Calcined Magnesia). Calcined magnesia is a product produced by subjecting natural magnesite ore to thermal processing at an average temperature of 900°C.

Due to its active mineral nature, calcined magnesia provides the magnesium required by cells through rapid absorption from the digestive system. Therefore, the magnesia used must be calcined.

For over a decade, Kümaş has been offering high-quality products to the Turkish and global markets with its calcined magnesia containing 83-90% MgO (50-54% Mg).
