Our Environmental Perspective

As KÜMAŞ, we carry out all our activities with the responsibility of protecting the environment and human life. Inspired by the OYAK culture's approach of "More Value with Less Resources"; we prioritize the sustainable and efficient management and use of resources, reducing waste generation, and converting waste back into resources. We act with respect and responsibility for the needs of today and the future. We pay utmost attention to ensure that all our activities are sustainable to leave a livable world for future generations. We continue our activities with an improving performance in water, wastewater, waste, energy efficiency, climate change, environmentally friendly production, and products.

At KÜMAŞ

• We organize training on the efficient use of resources and inform all our employees.
   
• We support waste-reducing business models and recycling. We develop projects to reduce hazardous and non-hazardous waste. We work to make our Zero Waste approach an example for all stakeholders.
   
• We take measures to prevent environmental pollution caused by potential accidents and emergencies.
   
• We develop and implement projects to reduce water consumption and increase water reuse.
   
• We support the use of secondary raw materials in our productions and conduct R&D studies to increase the amount of recycled material in our products.
   
• We take measures to reduce our emissions and imissions and develop improvement projects to minimize the damage to public health and the environment.
   
• We conduct research and trials to reduce the use of additive and chemical materials and to use alternatives with less environmental impact.
   
• We conduct rehabilitation activities every year to protect biodiversity.
   
• We ensure that the transportation, storage, transport, and labeling of hazardous materials have the lowest possible environmental impact.
