Our Sustainability Management

At KÜMAŞ, as with all OYAK companies, the topic of sustainability is conducted under the leadership of upper management. Prioritizing the needs for setting, implementing, reviewing, and communicating sustainability goals is of critical importance at the management level.

Our sustainability management is defined as:

• Identifying our current and future economic, environmental, and social risks and opportunities in advance.
• Enhancing our capacity to create value in economic, environmental, and social areas in increasingly competitive and changing global business conditions.

As a global company in the magnesite and refractory sector, KÜMAŞ responds to the environmental, social, and economic impacts of current conditions with our sustainable and agile business model. Therefore, we closely follow local and global trends concerning the sector, carefully evaluate sustainability-related requests from our stakeholders in the value chain, and determine our sustainability priorities by considering our company’s business strategy.

We support our "Sustainability Policy" with our "Integrated Management System Policy," which includes occupational health and safety, environmental, and quality management systems, our "Ethical and Working Principles" that define the fundamental behavioral principles of KÜMAŞ employees, and other certifications.
